Promotional quality badges will be sold at an event to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal and Help for Heroes.

An upcoming charity event in Somerset will see promotional quality badges sold to benefit wounded ex-servicemen and women and the families of those killed in action.

The Pall Tavern in Yeovil is hosting a day of fundraising activities on November 29th, with stalls selling food and fundraising merchandise such as promotional quality badges helping to top up collection boxes for the Poppy Appeal and Help for Heroes, the Yeovil Express reported.

In addition, there will be an auction of charity products, raffles and live music from some local acts, according to pub owners Steve and Di.

They told the newspaper: "The bands are all performing for free and all you need to do is arrive, have a good time and put your hand in your pocket for two great causes."

Help for Heroes was also recently the beneficiary of a £3,500 donation following a number of fundraising feats in Fenland, including a mountain trek, the Cambs Times reported.ADNFCR-2506-ID-19442132-ADNFCR
